Accolades: "...it's just impeccable."

I grew up with Gittings. My mom and dad signed my sister and me up for The Birthday Club when we were young. We had our picture taken every year. Actually, the same photographer who took my sister's pictures photographed my son. My wife and I were dating in high school when I got the last picture taken for my album. I knew that someday I'd have my kids photographed by Gittings. When I look at my photos year by year, I can see the similarities between my children and myself. The quality and the framing - it's just impeccable. I'd never use anyone else.

"...it's been a great investment."

We decided to purchase the Birthday Plan for our son Michael because we knew how much it would mean to us--and to him someday--to be able to look through the album and see how he's changed over the years. Every portrait shows what he was 'into' at the time. One year it was golfing--in another one he's fishing. There's a great one with his dog. In the back of the album is a page with a small photograph from each year. We always chose the silliest photo for that. This is a record of his life, really. It's been a great investment. It's worth every penny.

"I was pleased with the result...in fact, very pleased."

Gittings took our family portrait for a Houston Grand Opera event. The theme that year was "Things I Love," and this portrait features them all--my wife, my grandson, and our dogs. In the background are some of my favorite guitars, most with some personal attachment or story. I keep them out all the time and they've become like part of the family. My wife and the photographer actually set up the shot, and I was pleased with the result--in fact, very pleased.

"...outstanding ideas."

My wife and I decided to have our portrait made when we put our loft on the market. It's a beautiful space, and we wanted something very special that would bring back memories of the wonderful times we've had there. Gittings surpassed our expectations. Our photographer met with us in our home for a consultation several days before the shoot and came up with some outstanding ideas. We actually had fun during the photo session. We're thrilled with our portrait. It's totally unique and really achieved the look we were hoping to accomplish.

"...more of an 'event' than a photo session!"

A group portrait of our team at Amegy is hanging in the conference room of our office. I wanted to honor their exceptional work and give our Board an opportunity to match the names of our employees with faces. Kenn made the experience fun--it was actually more of an 'event' than a photo session! He was great at relaxing people and engaged everyone with his humor. I would love to make this a company tradition.
