Yes, there was a Mr. Gittings, and he was an enthusiastic portrait photography visionary and leader. Early in his life, Paul Gittings exhibited talents in the arts. After fine arts schooling, photographic portrait training, and several years of success, his mentors sent him from the Northeast to Texas to establish what continues to be a leading portrait house. While the studios in Fort Worth, Dallas and Houston are no longer family-owned, the current partners are dedicated to the high standards espoused by Paul Linwood Gittings.
