Does Gittings photograph brides and weddings?
We practice portraiture exclusively. While we do not offer "candid" photography of wedding events, we do make exquisite formal bridal portraits and couple portraits.
Do you charge extra for location sittings?
There is no extra charge for a location sitting unless it takes place more than 50 miles from our studio.

The Gittings Birthday Club is an elegant, affordable way to chronicle a child’s changing features and passage from early childhood through age eighteen in a custom leather album.

Do you sell gift certificates for portraits?
We do! You can read about prices and finishes on our web site and call or visit your local studio to purchase a gift certificate in any amount.

What services does the Portrait Session fee cover?
A Gittings portrait session is an involved process engaging a practiced professional photographer's time and talent in designing and capturing photographic images which are complimentary and enduring. The fee covers the portrait session and allows the subsequently ordered portraits to be priced a la carte.
Can you replace a Gittings portrait that has faded or been lost?
Yes. Gittings' continuing intent is to archive its portrait negatives and digital files so that new prints may be provided. If original color portraits have suffered changes in their coloring, they may be covered by our warranty which provides for replacement at a fifty percent reduction from the current portrait prices.
Does Gittings photograph special events, such as parties or corporate events?
Yes! We have photographed events for the Baker Institute, Conoco, Ernst and Young, Houston PBS and many other corporate affairs. Please contact your local studio for information about engaging Gittings to commemorate your event.
Do you take photos for Christmas cards?
Christmas cards featuring a Gittings portrait that has been purchased may be ordered through our studio.
Do you photograph pets?
Pets are often included in family groupings or in portraits of their owners. We do occasionally create portraits of pets, some of which can be viewed in our gallery.
